We Welcome the Year of the Tiger!

Last week, as part of Chinese New Year activities, Charis International School Interact Club has organised some fun activities for the secondary students such as dress in red to school, distributing Mandarin oranges to CIS teachers, staff, and to the Rotary Club of Tawau members as well.

Plus, there were also other activities such as gift exchange and eating Mandarin Oranges competition. The winners were given red packet angpao sponsored by the Rotary Club of Tawau President.

While the primary students participated in making traditional crafts including playing Chopstick Challenge. They are required to picking up the beans by using chopsticks.

From all of us at CHARIS International School, we wish you a very happy Chinese New Year and good fortune in the coming Year of the Tiger!

Interact Club Cake Sale

Several kind volunteers from Years 7-10 made delicious cakes, cookies, cupcakes and biscuits, while a group of Year 9 students prepared a wonderful chocolate fountain. All Interactors played their part on Friday, whether it be through setting-up, selling, packing, collecting donations or clearing up at the end of a very busy and successful hour in the Calvary Crown lobby area.

Thank you so much to all the parents for their generous donations and support.

Cake Sale 2018

Thank you so much for all your support and generosity at our recent Interact Club cake sale. We raised a record amount and are delighted to announce that, as a result, our Interactors are able to sponsor a secondary student at the Grace Alternative Training Centre for an entire year.
Thanks again!
