The Charis International School held its first Primary Motivational Camp on 15th May 2018. This camp was organized to inspire students and spark their interest to have higher motivation and enthusiasm in their studies.
Reverend Teh Yung Huat and our very own school principal, Mrs Yvonne Ching, graced the aforementioned event. They gave a talk to the students, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and influencing them to be a better version of themselves.
The camp was full with various activities which were mentally and physically challenging to the students. It was great to see children as young as 6 working together with older kids as old as 13. Some of the activities that were covered in the camp were tower building, pass the baton, catch the monkey’s tail, lay an egg, poster making and other strategy games.
One Primary 5 student said, “I really love the activities because they were challenging. We had to be patient with each other because we have different skills and abilities. We also learned how to work together and to stay focused.”
Indeed, they have learnt the values of patience, cooperation, tolerance, and teamwork. Not only that, they have also established new friendship and old friendship strengthened.
