Charis School Family Day 2026 at Victoria Bay

What a fantastic morning it was! On Saturday, 13 June 2026, our school community came together at the beautiful Victoria Bay for an exciting Family Day filled with laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. From 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., students, parents, and teachers enjoyed a fun-packed morning that strengthened the bonds within our school family.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from the entire school community, including 20 teachers, 10 kindergarten students, 27 primary students, 18 secondary students, many supportive parents and family members. The cheerful atmosphere, beautiful seaside scenery, and energetic activities made the day truly special for everyone.

Event Highlights

8:00 a.m. – Registration & Arrival of Families
Families arrived with excitement and anticipation as they gathered for a day of fun and togetherness.

8:30 a.m. – Welcoming Speech by Principal, Dr Debra Sim
The event officially began with an inspiring welcome speech by our Principal, Dr Debra Sim, who encouraged everyone to enjoy the day and celebrate the spirit of community.

8:40 a.m. – Student Team Games (Part 1) 
Students were divided into teams of three and participated in a variety of exciting games and challenges. Team members worked together to complete tasks that tested their communication, coordination, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. The beach was filled with laughter, cheers, and friendly competition as teams gave their best effort.

9:40 a.m. – Refreshment Break
Participants took a well-deserved break to enjoy refreshments, recharge, and mingle with friends and fellow families.

10:00 a.m. – Student Team Games (Part 2)
The excitement continued with another round of engaging team challenges. Students encouraged one another and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout the activities. The points earned during the games contributed to the overall team rankings, keeping the excitement high until the very end.

A special highlight of the morning was the Parents' 3-Legged Race. Parents enthusiastically paired up and raced across the field with their legs tied together, creating plenty of laughter and excitement for both participants and spectators. The event showcased teamwork, coordination, and a wonderful sense of fun among our parents.

11:00 a.m. – Closing Remarks, Group Photo & Hamper Presentation
The event concluded with closing remarks, a memorable group photo, and the presentation of hampers to the winning student team and the champions of the Parents' 3-Legged Race. Congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and positive spirit throughout the day!

11:30 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Lunch & Dismissal
Families enjoyed a relaxing lunch together before heading home with happy hearts and cherished memories.

A Celebration of Family and Community

Charis Family Day at Victoria Bay was more than just a day of games - it was a celebration of friendship, family, and school spirit. Students, parents, family members and teachers had the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and create lasting memories together. The laughter, encouragement, and teamwork displayed throughout the event reflected the strong sense of belonging that makes our school community so special.
